This section discusses several areas concerning
family issues and topics within my practice and can
by no means address all the issues relevany to families.
If you have concerns regarding family issues not mentioned
here, please contact
me for further information. I will do my best to
help direct you in a path to address your concerns.
It is my preference to include family members or significant
others involved in an individual's life as much as possible
within the treatment process. The issue of confidentiality
comes into play as a factor when including family members
of individuals in conjoint sessions (sessions with the
client present) or as collateral contacts (sessions
with the client present). To help you develop an understanding
of this concept and the legal ramifications, I will
give you a brief synopsis of how the issue of confidentiality
applies to the specific areas below each heading.
